Some of my favourite photos here, because of the moment when I took them. For example, the little island with a tree - I spotted this on holiday in Scotland and ended up getting my ankles wet standing in a marsh to snap it. I love the colours so the dampness was worth it!

The lacewing had just emerged from its cocoon; its wings were still creased. And the photo of four trees was taken at sunset on a winter's day when fog sat on the ground up to just a metre high.
