Pulcinella - 37 Old Compton Street, London W1V
Number of visits?
One, in November 2002.Location?
Old Compton Street in the heart of Soho, a five to ten minute walk from Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square and Oxford Circus tube stations.Food?
Italian - pizza and pasta. Much better than many of the surrounding eateries, the pasta was delicious, the calzone was huge, and the pizza base is thin and crispy. Salads were also good. This was better than Pizza Express or ASK fare, for one or two pounds more per item. There were also "main meals" listed, but these were all meat dishes.Clientele
On a Sunday afternoon when we visited, couples and families, including some Italians.Cost?
£15 per head.Anything else?
Staff are helpful, dealing well with my requests and offering us a choice of tables. The chef is on show, and the food arrived quickly. There is one step to enter, so disabled people beware, and no accessible toilets were observed. Vegetarian meals available and well labelled.Opening Hours?
Noon to 1145 (Sun - Wed), Noon to 1245am (Thur - Sat).Official Website?
None.This page last updated: 01 September 2022
