Miffy Exhibition
I love the simplicity of the Miffy drawings. Today I learnt that Picasso admired them too, saying she was a "good shape".
Photos taken with my phone (I forgot my camera) so the quality is variable.

View fullsize The first thing you see is images of Miffy at an art gallery - quite appropriate! |
View fullsize This is how I felt. |
View fullsize Miffy in the tent. There was a video showing how this was made. Dick Bruna never used a ruler. |
View fullsize Confronted by a Miffy my own height. |
View fullsize This was an Amnesty International Christmas card. |
View fullsize Miffy at the theatre. Yes, there really is a Miffy The Musical... |
View fullsize Various sketches by Dick Bruna. |
View fullsize An interesting series of photos and collages showing how Miffy is created from sketch to print. The coloured parts are cut out, and then placed on a white background - so Miffy is whitespace! |
View fullsize One of my favourite sketches, from "Miffy is Crying". It shows how effective the simplicity of the drawings can be. |
View fullsize A view of the whole Museum of Childhood. There are galleries on two levels and then the ground floor has cafe and shop. Full disabled access throughout. | |
View fullsize Looking back across the gallery to the Miffy exhibition. |
