Tourist Attractions and Things to do in London
Sights, Museums, Art Galleries and Shows

You are advised to buy a tourist guide, or Time Out magazine, as there are many smaller galleries and events which are worth seeing from time to time.

Sights
Some of these sights can be viewed from the inside - for example The Monument and Tower Bridge can both be climbed; others like Trafalgar Square are merely a place to be.
See pictures of over 50 landmarks,
here.

Museums
Many museums are now free to enter, but not all - so do check first. There are far more museums and smaller exhibitions than are detailed here, so check out a decent tourist guide if history is your thing.

Art Galleries
General entry to most galleries is free, but there are charges for specific exhibitions and events and the most popular will require advance booking. If you are unemployed or a student, bring along proof of status to get reduced prices.

Shows
There are many more shows and plays showing in London at any one time, but here are some of the more popular or long-running shows. Check current availability and book tickets online with
Ticketmaster.
If you have any suggestions for these lists please get in touch.
