Dear Foster Parents,
This letter is written by me Dilini Nadeesha your foster child.
My country is Sri Lanka. I live in Dombagahawela village in the Monaragalo district. My village is very poor. I study at Dombagahawela Maha Vidyalaya in year 7.
I am writing this letter for a special reason. That is to thank you very much for choosing me as your foster child. I highly value your choosing children from poor areas as foster children. The benefits these foster children receive are enormous.
I love to study. My favourite subjects are Sinhala, arithmetic, literature and English. My family consists of 5 brothers and sisters. I am the youngest. Both my parents are living. My father is a cultivator.
If I give you more details, I like to say that the Sinhala New Year is close by. Our New Year is in April. We get holidays during that period. I am asking one favour from you. That is you all visit us during our Sinhala New Year.
I shall keep hoping that you all will come.
Till we meet again through another letter I wish you all God's protection.
