Ongar Station
In 1994, the Epping to Ongar part of the Central Line was decommissioned. On 13th April 2003 we took a trip to Ongar to have a look at the station and stock there. We have been before and the steam loco seems to be a permanent fixture (I have also seen it in photos from previous years) but the stock on the other line seems to change from time to time.

They now run a service each Sunday between Ongar and North Weald - information is available on their website.

On the way to Ongar, we passed roadsigns for Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker.

There is more train-related stuff in my trains section.
