Finger Injury
Caused by hollow pole going through from front of finger to back causing nail to be divided in two (down the middle), and a sliver of bone to be sliced off. The cut piece of finger was held on by a small amount of skin on the back, visible in the photos. Presented as an open fracture at A&E.

1) My finger's photoshoot - 5 days after reparative surgery, taken while replacing micropore holding the gauze bandage in place. Jelonet is still attached over the front of the finger, but the metal insert in place of the nail is visible. Blackening of the skin is concerning - hopefully just bruising.

2) Second photoshoot - 14 days after surgery. The back is drying up and scabbing over. Black tissue is clearly dead, hopefully the rest is healing.

3) Third photoshoot - 16 days after surgery. I had been to the clinic to remove bandage and metal splint, and I pulled the stitches out and then gave my finger a good wash. The final photo shows what a good job was done - you can hardly see the scar and stitch marks. However there is an area of dead black tissue waiting to drop off.
