Roger Waters - Hyde Park Calling - 1 July 2006
We went to see Roger Waters perform a 2.5 hour set at Hyde Park, where he played several Floyd songs before performing the whole of Dark Side of the Moon. The sound was quadrophonic and amazing quality, and we were lucky to have a good view.

It was hard picking my favourite photos, so the full set are unindexed here.

The set list was as follows: In the Flesh, Mother, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pt 1-4), Have a Cigar, Wish You Were Here, Final Cut, Fletcher Memorial Home, Perfect Sense (pt 1 & 2), Leaving Beirut, Sheep
followed by Dark Side of the Moon (cover to cover with no breaks)
Encore: Another Brick in the Wall (pt 2), Vera Lynn, Bring the Boys Back Home, Comfortably Numb.

For me, there was too much emphasis on The Wall, but Shine On, Set The Controls and Sheep were just amazing. Particularly of note was that the screens intercut performance from the stage with prepared films, and during Shine On the screens showed images of Syd...

Roger seems alarmingly demanding.

Leaving Beirut - an anti war song, which Roger introduced with an explanation. It was illustrated with cartoons giving the lyrics and story. The image shows how it ends.

There's Nick - sadly we were too far to the right for a view of him, we could just see his drumkit

But of course there's an encore, and then a finale with dramatic bursts of flame to mark the end of the set and of the evening.
